Shopping online

It’s very easy to shop online with us. Our step-by-step instructions will help you find whatever garden product you’re looking for.

The Homepage

From the homepage, you can navigate to anywhere else on our website. You can take a look at our products, manage your shopping basket, or get in touch with us.

Whichever page of our website you look at, the ‘Home’ button is always at the top of the ‘menu’ on the left-hand side of the screen. Clicking on this button will always return you to the homepage.

Starting to use the site

The different types of product we sell are listed in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. By clicking on one of these product categories, you can browse through the products in that category. If you’d like a more detailed description of a particular product, just click on it. You can also see a bigger picture of an item by clicking on ‘view larger image’.

Adding products to your shopping cart

If you decide to buy an item, the next step is to add it to your ‘shopping cart’.

First, make sure you’ve made a selection for any options relevant to the item, such as size or colour. When you click ‘Add to Cart’, the item will be added to your shopping cart.

Adding items to your shopping cart does not mean you are under any obligation to buy them. You ‘ll confirm the sale at a later stage, and until then you’re free to delete items from your cart, add new items, or make changes to your order.

Shopping Cart

Your shopping cart is the place where the products you’ve chosen are kept until you have finished shopping and you are ready to confirm your purchases. The items you add to your cart will stay there regardless of which other pages you may visit, and you can view, change or remove them at any time by clicking ‘View Shopping Cart’ at the left-hand side of the screen.

When you have finished browsing and you are ready to confirm your purchases, go to the ‘Shopping Cart’ menu at the left-hand side of the screen and click ‘Checkout’.

You’re still not under any obligation to buy the items in your cart at this stage.

Once you’re in the shopping cart area, you can change the quantities of any items in your cart or remove them entirely. If you make any changes, click ‘Update Order’ afterwards to see how the total costs are affected.

The shopping cart area will show you the total cost of the items, along with packing, delivery and insurance charges and any special discounts.

You can click ‘Continue Shopping’ at any time to return to our product pages and resume browsing.

When you are ready to pay for the items in your shopping cart, click ‘Checkout’ in the left-hand menu. You will be asked a few questions about where you’d like your purchases delivered and how you’d like to pay for them, and finally you’ll be asked to confirm your order.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are a lot of garden products on your site. How do I find what I want?

Products are grouped into relevant sections and you can browse through these by selecting a category in the ‘menu’ on the left of the homepage. If you know what you are looking for, the ‘Search’ function will automatically find all the relevant products on the website. Simply choose suitable words that describe the item you are looking for and click on the ‘Go’ button.

What if I want to buy more than one item? How do I select several items at once?

When you find items you want to buy, you can add them to your shopping cart. Your cart can contain as many items as you like. If you want to buy more than one of a particular product, you can simply add several of them to your shopping cart. Alternatively you can click on ‘View Shopping Cart’ and increase the number of those items in your cart, clicking on ‘Update Order’ to register the change.

How do I buy items?

Once you have all the items you want to buy in your shopping cart, click on ‘View Shopping Cart’ on the left-hand side of the screen. You’ll be able to see exactly what’s in your cart, and the total cost. If you click ‘Checkout’ in the left-hand menu, you’ll be asked a few questions about where you’d like your purchases delivered and how you’d like to pay for them, and finally you’ll be asked to confirm your order.

How can I check what’s in my shopping cart?

Click on ‘View Shopping Cart’ on the left-hand side of the screen.

What if I change my mind? Can I remove items from my shopping cart?

Yes, you can easily remove items from your cart. Click on ‘View Shopping Cart’ and then change the quantity of the item to zero. Click ‘Update Order’ to register the change.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay for your order via our website using a credit or debit card – we accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Delta and Maestro. If you prefer to pay by cheque, you can order items by phone and send your cheque by post. Call us on 01543 438200 to place your order, and we’ll process it when we receive your cheque.

Can I return an unwanted item to you?

It’s rare that anyone is not completely happy with the items they receive from us. But if you’re not satisfied with your purchase please write to us to tell us why and call our customer services team on 01543 438200. You must contact us within seven days (starting the day after your order was delivered).

When will I receive my order?

We despatch most items less than 14 days after they’re ordered, but in some circumstances it may take up to 6 weeks.

My order includes more than one item. Will they all arrive together?

We’ll despatch each item in your order as soon as it’s available. This may mean items do not all arrive at the same time.

What should I do if my order doesn’t arrive within 6 weeks?

In the unlikely event that your order doesn’t arrive within 6 weeks, please call our customer services department on 01543 438200 so they can look into it. If necessary we’ll refund your payment in full.

Do you deliver items outside the UK?

No, regrettably our delivery service only covers the UK mainland.

Do you provide a warranty or guarantee?

We want you to be able to buy from us with confidence, and to be completely happy with any purchases you make. So every product purchased via our website is covered by a seven-day money-back guarantee.

Our garden products also carry a 12-month warranty, under which we will replace the product or issue a credit note.
